Handfan with Orient mother-of-pearl linkage, from France at the end of the 19th century.
Mounted with silk cloth (country) with embroidered lace appliques. Hand painted.
Representing a love scene in a garden, typical of the time.
Both the cloth and the lace have been restored at the end of the 20th century.
The ring and the pin, made of glass, are those of origin.
The guides or straws that hold the fabric (country) on the reverse side are hand-cut bone.
Measures 51 x 27 cm.
