Fan, with French origin ribbing of 19th century maid of brown mother of pearl. Assembled with mid (pais) 20th century cotton and painted by Esteve (Vicente Martinez Esteve lived in Burjasot (Valencia) where he died approximately in 1985. Son of Esteve master fan painter, whose paintings created a well define style known all over the world). The painting depicts a dark country scene, with an impressionist style characteristic of the painters of the time. Reverse of the fan takes an agreed painting with the obverse.
